My name is Michael Enos, and I am the Founder and CEO of LifePonic Solutions. My journey to create the highest yielding and nutritious hydroponic growing system wasn’t just about business—it was about health and survival.

My degree is in hydrology from Colorado State University.  I spent many years working as a hydrologist and hydrogeologist, conducting environmental assessments and water quality studies. My work included flood-stage modeling, analyzing and modeling water quality for municipal water supply reservoirs.  I have also consulted for several large companies like Hewlett-Packard, Lockheed, Ford, Apple, and the U.S. Air Force.  In 1998 I had the opportunity to start my own company and entered the life of an entrepreneur, founding two technology companies that were acquired by public companies. 

Everything changed in 2014.  That year, I suffered a stroke that left much of my left side nonfunctional. Over the next two years, in addition to the stroke, doctors diagnosed me with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease) and MS (multiple sclerosis). I could barely walk to the mailbox. Three top neurology centers told me I would soon be in a wheelchair—then, I would die.

At the time, my four children were between five and ten years old. The weight of that reality crushed me.

For two and a half years, I followed the standard medical plan—prescriptions, treatments, doctors’ visits—but my condition only worsened. Then, I made a decision: I was going to take control of my own health.

I dove headfirst into studying nutrition, genetics, biochemistry, and functional medicine. My goal? To rebuild my body from the inside out, starting at the cellular level. Over the next three years, I successfully biohacked my body back to life.

I went from barely walking to skiing, biking, backpacking, and swimming again. My neurologist at the University of Colorado Anschutz Center called me a “statistical outlier.” He couldn’t believe that nutrition, diet and functional medicine, not drugs, had reversed my condition. But it did.

Then, in March 2020, the world changed.

As COVID-19 spread, Governor Polis locked down Colorado. Grocery store shelves emptied. Families were panicked, unprepared, and dependent on a failing food supply chain.

Then, I had a dream—one so vivid and clear that it shook me to my core.

In the dream, a handsome Black couple stood before me. The man, dressed in a white shirt, held out a large plate of fresh greens. He was looking right through me as he offered me a large plate of greens.  Above them, I saw the word “LifePonics.” Not hydroponics. Not aquaponics. Not aeroponics. But LifePonics.

At their waistline, I saw the words:

• Healthy
• Prepared
• Free

That image was seared into my memory. When I woke up, I turned to my wife, shook her awake and told her about the dream.  I don’t dream often.  This was such a clear dream of impending problems in the world and the need for every household to have the ability to grow their own nutritious greens.  I knew we had to do this.
